Elaine Brown is Of Counsel in our Portland office. Her practice focuses on insurance coverage advice and litigation, commercial litigation, and toxic tort litigation. Elaine’s experience also includes environmental contamination litigation, complex civil litigation involving product liability and premises liability, and considerable work on appeals.
Elaine received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science “with high honors” from the University of Nevada, and her Juris Doctor from Lewis & Clark College, Northwestern School of Law. During law school, Elaine was an associate editor for the Environmental Law Review, and was a certified law clerk for the Oregon Department of Justice. She is admitted to practice in Oregon state courts and the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon.
She is currently a member of the Oregon State Bar's Loan Repayment Assistance Committee, and previously served as the Chairperson of the Client Security Fund Committee of the Oregon State Bar. Elaine has also volunteered as a judge for the Classroom Law Project’s High School Mock Trial competition each year since 2007, and has written for Oregon Association of Defense Counsel and Oregon State Bar publications.
