Laura has been advising and advocating for clients since 2007.  Her practice focuses on counseling and representing clients in first-party and third-party insurance coverage disputes and bad faith. She counsels clients on potential pre-litigation resolution strategies and participation in alternative dispute resolution.  She has experience defending clients at all stages of litigation through trial including in declaratory judgment and bad faith actions. 

While her focus area has been on insurance coverage and bad faith issues, she has also defended businesses and individuals in non-insurance litigation through trial.  Laura has also appeared and argued before the Washington Court of Appeals and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.  

Laura is licensed in both in Washington and Oregon. Prior to joining Gordon & Polscer, Laura was senior counsel at an international law firm focused on insurance coverage issues.  As part of her practice, Laura has also presented on issues of regulatory and statutory compliance and best practice claims handling in Washington and works with clients to address consumer complaints pre-litigation.
